Don’t get me wrong, I love London Fashion Week. It’s one of the perks of being a writer! I get to see the shows, hob-nob with slebs, and see the next season’s collections before they hit the stores. But the downside is that I live in Brighton!
That is never normally an issue.. I have a perfectly lovely home next to the beach, but it is a bit of a mish when I am travelling up and down for Fashion Week. With shows starting at 9, and parties finishing at.. well late (!) there has been the odd occasion where I have fallen asleep on the train home… Or not got up in time and missed something fabulous!
So when I found the super handy and fashion fabulous Motel One Hotel in Tower Hill I was besotted! Close to the tube and bus for all my late night navigations, it also provided a buffet breakfast and coffee on tap.
And don’t get me started on the views! My room on the 15th floor overlooked all the best (and most beautiful) London landmarks in the city. And St Paul’s, Borough Market and the Barbican are all a hop skip and a jump away (possibly not in Fashion Week heels, but in the vicinity..)
With free fast wifi, an invigorating power shower and a kettle, the room might not have been the biggest I have ever stayed in, but for this level of comfort for a bargain price in the heart of the city, I feel it’s only fair to share the love.
See you next season!
